Gnostic Esoteric Studies & Meditation

Gnosis is a form of wisdom that involves exploring various subjects such as psychology, mysticism, and esotericism through classes and meditation. Our classes cater to both beginners and those with more experience, and cover a range of topics designed to help us get to know ourselves more deeply.

We study a wide variety of topics which include meditation, esoteric psychology, psychic development, kaballah, alchemy and many more spiritual subjects .

We also introduce meditation techniques in a gradual, tension-free way, allowing individuals to experience the benefits of meditation and gradually increase their practice over time. Gnosis is a practical wisdom that anyone with good intentions and a good heart can benefit from and use to live a more peaceful, serene life and to better understand their true selves as a soul or divine spark.

Having no monetary cost set on them, the Gnostic teachings are priceless. This does not imply, however, that the teachings do not have value. Supporting a center monetarily is something that should be done of one’s own free will, and in the spirit of continuing the dharma.

All of the Gnostic centers belonging to our organization found throughout the world are non-profit, and operate solely based on contributions. Gnosis is not a business, and no person involved in the running of a center makes money for his or her services. To run a center is truly a labor of love.

The public classes are offered freely. For those who wish to continue on with the weekly course, donations (sugg. $15/week/per person) are greatly appreciated to cover the costs of running the center. i.e.: rent, utilities, printouts, etc. Some students have greater financial capacities and donate accordingly. Others, with more limited circumstances, may donate less financially, but yearning to help and support, will find other ways to offer their assistance. Financial limitations should never be the cause of someone not attending the center and it’s cla

In regards to attending the public introductory course, anyone is welcome to attend one, some or all of the classes being offered in the series. For those who have an ongoing interest in studying at the Albany-Troy Gnosic Center, weekly classes will continue and go deeper into the topics that have been introduced. As the classes and practices build on each other, consistent weekly attendance is expected. If at any point in time you decide you no longer want to continue with the classes, you are free to stop with no further obligations.

Gnosis today is the modern form of an ancient system of learning, which has existed through the history of man’s presence on Earth. This wisdom was not available to the public, but was revealed only to those who had been initiated into the mysteries.

The Gnostic teachings, as taught in Gnostic Centers throughout the world today, comes from the writings and practices of a modern day teacher, Samael Aun Weor, who synthesized the precepts of the philosophers, mystics, and adepts of all times into an integrated and comprehensive system of knowledge and instruction. Gnosis, as unveiled by Samael Aun Weor, contains a synthesis of all the ancient mystery schools. The contemporary Gnostic Movement has spread rapidly since it began in the 1950’s in Columbia. Gnostic centers can be found in many countries throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa.

The Gnostic teachings consist of a wide variety of esoteric disciplines, all of which are presented in a very practical manner. Gnosis is not just theoretical. Practices are given so that what is being learned can be verified, surpassing the boundaries of believing or disbelieving, since both lead to ignorance. Gnosis is called the ‘Doctrine of the Synthesis,’ since it synthesizes the most essential aspects of all of the ancient mystery schools, religions, and esoteric systems of the past and present into one doctrine. Yet Gnosis is not a derivative of any one of these systems. Gnosis predates all religions and systems, and is not the property of any individual or group.

We study the wisdom of both east and west in a comprehensive, didactic way, unlike many other forms of spirituality that focus on one specific religion alone.
